3rd Happy Race 2019

(uphill/downhill mountain race – Croatian Trail – Mountain Cup)

3rd Happy Race 2019 will takle place on Saturday, July 20th 2019, with start at 10:30h at the Hunting house “Lazica”, village Gornji Kuti, Brod Moravice, Croatia.

Races

As a part of the 3rd Happy Race, two different races will be organized:

  1. Main race – 12 km (A-type race in Domestic Championship in Croatian Trail – Mountain Cup)
  2. Citizens’ race – 7,5 km (B-type race in Domestic Championship in Croatian Trail – Mountain Cup)

Main race 12 km

Categories:

  • Men: MU23 (16-22), MS (23-34), M35 (35-39), M40 (40-44), M45 (45-49), M50 (50-54), M55 (55-59), M60 (60-64), M65 (65-69), M70 (70 and higher)
  • Women: FU23 (16-22), FS (23-34), F35 (35-39), F40 (40-44), F45 (45-49), F50 (50-54), F55 (55-59), F60 (60 and higher)

Three best placed runners (male/female) OVERALL will get trophies while every runner who finished the race will be awarded finisher medal. The best results in each age category (first three places – male/female) will be awarded with medals. Best placed runners overall (male/female) do not enter competition for age category medals.

Citizens’ race (7,5 km)

Three best placed runners (male/female) OVERALL will get trophies, while every runner who finished the race will be awarded finisher medal. There are no age categories in this Race.

Schedule

Saturday, 20/7/2019:

05:30 – departure of Race bus from Velika Gorica (Turopolje museum)

06:00 – bus will stop at Zagreb (bus station near INA)

07:30 – 09:30 – welcome, package pick up and late registrations

10:00 – guest greetings and start of the programme

10:30 – start of the Main race (12 km)

10:45 start of Civil race (7,5 km)

13:30 – announcement of the Main race winners

14:00 – announcement of the Civil race winners

14:30 – closure of the 3rd Happy Race 2019 (the Program will be continued with domestic entertainment program)

16:00 – departure of Race bus back to Zagreb and Velika Gorica

Applications

Applications to all races and events go exclusively via Internet and are opened until 12/7/2019. As an exception, applications for the races will be possible on 21/7/2018 during the pick-up of the start number but we cannot guarantee availability of starting package for those applications. Application to a Race is confirmed only by paying the registration fee.

Registration fees

Registration fee for the Main race (12 km) is as follows:

  • Early bird applications and payment until 31/5/2019 – 100 HRK (14 EUR)
  • Regular applications and payment from 1/6/2019 to 30/6/2019 – 120 HRK (16 EUR)
  • Late applications and payment from 1/7/2019 to 19/7/2019 – 150 HRK (20 EUR)
  • Applications and payment during start package pick-up 20/7/2019 – 180 HRK (25 EUR)

Registration fee for the Citizens’ race (7,5 km) is as follows:

  • Early bird applications and payment until 31/5/2019 – 80 HRK (11 EUR)
  • Regular applications and payment from 1/6/2019 to 30/6/2019 – 100 HRK (15 EUR)
  • Late applications and payment from 1/7/2019 to 19/7/2019 – 130 HRK (18 EUR)
  • Applications and payment during start package pick-up 20/7/2019 – 150 HRK (20 EUR)

If you are paying entry fees for more than one person, transaction confirmation must be sent to blagajnik@mkvg.hr together with a list of names for whom these fees were paid. Registration fee payments will be updated on a weekly basis. Paid registration fees will not be returned, but the application may be transferred to another competitor, until 12/7/2019 the latest.

IF THE PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE IS NOT REGISTERED IN ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM, REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT CONFIRMATION SHOULD BE PRESENTED ON REQUEST WHILE PICKING UP STARTING NUMBER!

Proceeding to sign-up process, all competitors agree to participate AT THEIR OWN RISK.

Registration fee includes (only for Main race, Public race and Nordic walking):

  • Measuring time (electronic chips)
  • Finisher medal with the Race motive (different for Main race and other races)
  • T-shirt with the Race motive (dry-fit for Main race, cotton T-shirts for other races)
  • Refreshments during the race and at start/finish zone
  • Lunch after the Race
  • Security during the Race
  • Medical treatment during the Race

Gift-package

Each participant in all the races gets gift-package containing the T-shirt with race motive print (dry-fit for Main race and cotton T-shorts for other races), food, refreshing drinks, promotional items and finisher medal upon successful completion of the Race.

According to the Schedule of the Race the pickup of welcome packages will take place at the start/finish (Hunting House – Gornji Kuti/Brod Moravice) on the day of the race.

Money prizes

Money prizes are only available for the Main Race (12 km) for the best OVERALL standings in men’s and women’s category, and are as follows:

In Citizens’ race there are no money prizes.

Location and arrival

Happy race will take place in the village Gornji Kuti with the start/finish place at Hunting house “Lazica”.

We have organized a bus service which will transport runners to Gornji Kuti. The bus will depart from Velika Gorica (Turopolje museum) on Race day at 5:30 and will also stop at bus station next to INA in Zagreb at 06:00 in the morning. Ticket price is 60 HRK (8 EUR) and applications are available on the link below. Tickets have to be paid via bank transfer until 17/7/2019 the latest.

The organizer also provides showers and guarded wardrobe, which are located at the Hunting house “Lazica”.

Note: If you plan to pay registration fee and bus ticked all at once, you can do that in one transaction. IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, recipient, model, and transfer reference remain the same, only transfer description changes to “ST  <12 km / 7.5 km + Bus>, <name and last name (if more than one person, separated by a comma)>”. Of course, in this case total amount of payment is the amount of registration fee (depends on the date of payment) plus the bus ticket (60 HRK ~ 8 EUR).

The routes are the following:

There will be two water stations out on the course (12 km race), plus the post-race food at the finish line. Water stations will be positioned approximately every 5 km.

Main Race (12 km)

Main Race (12 km) is a uphill/downhill mountain race with total length of 12 km.

Only healthy athletes may compete on a race and they all RUN AT THEIR OWN RISK. By registering for the race competitor gives up the possibility of transferring responsibility to the organizers of the race and confirms their health status and ability to finish the race. The organizer will secure medical first aid/care during the Race.

All competitors must be at least 16 years old on a day of race.

By registering for the race competitor agrees that the organizer may use photographs taken during, before and after the race for their internal needs and the promotion of the event. The competitor agrees that the organizer may use their personal data for internal communication and in promotional purposes.

Water refreshments are provided at the start, during the race and in the finish area. The finish area is provided with additional refreshments. Timekeeping is done electronically using a chip and all results will be published immediately after the race at the official website of the organizer.

Starting number is placed solely on the chest and should be visible throughout the race. Besides starting number competitors must have a corresponding chip without which their effort will not be recorded. Failure to comply with the rules entails disqualification of a competitor.

The time limit of the 12 km race is 2:00 h (10:00 min / km).

Unofficial race results will be published immediately after the race (here). The right to appeal is limited to three days after the publication of unofficial results. Appeal is sent to e-mail mkvg@mkvg.hr. After this time results become official.

Unless otherwise stated, the rules of the Croatian Athletic Federation, will be applied.

Citizens’ race (7,5 km)
